Last-minute Oscars feels 2025

here’s my 2025 last minute rank before the best picture is awarded:

(i do have to mention that i’m proud to say we watched 9 out of 10 best picture oscar noms, and none were terrible!)

tier one: still my favorite, just amazing

1. dune: part II (they filmed in infrared for chrissakes!)

tier two: really great

2. the brutalist (at no point do you feel like this is some tv show. you are definitely watching a FILMED ON LOCATION BIG FANTASTIC MOTION PICTURE)
3. anora
4. nickel boys

tier three: very good

5. the substance (how did all this blood and body horror even get nominated)
6. conclave (give isabella rosellini the award for best acting with the least speaking)

tier four: music

7. emilia pérez
8. a complete unknown (timothee was great though)
9. wicked (cynthia and ariana also great)
