closing the loop

xz reminds me that i dropped all this stuff about my dad and never closed the loop. just in case you were waiting with baited but polite breath, everything’s ok. as far as they can tell, there isn’t a tumor, and the blood clot is shrinking on its own. my dad’s been home and fine for a while now, and there are no physical side effects. he’s still recovering mentally, but he’s much much better and everything looks good. there are no doctor’s appointments scheduled except one to check up on the size of the clot in four months.
