prius or mini?

so a friend of mine at work is selling a 2005 prius with carpool lane stickers. it’s probably a good deal, and it would mean 1. a faster commute, 2. an actual family friendly car, and 3. al gore will get off my back.

however, this would more than likely mean not getting a mini (even a clubman) for the foreseeable future.

do i keep the dream alive, or do i try and save the polar bears?

polar bears are really mean, mean animals. ;)

polar bears are left handed. i’m not sure if that helps the decision making at all, but every bit of information counts, right?

honestly, i would say the reduced commute is absolutely, positively, no question worth it. i can’t tell you how much i’d love to be in the hov lane when i drive myself to work.

although, with my schedule, i usually don’t have to go into the office until 10 or 11, so i miss most of the morning commute. it’s just for the times that i do, and then of course, the afternoon mess…

Prius =

a. More time with Snapper, less time on the road.
b. Better chance of earth being livable for Snapper
c. Quiet ride - can hear awesome tunes better

Mini =

a. Fun to take corners in
b. Style matches Papa
c. Can fit in small parking spaces

There you have it. A future for your kid or stylish ride. I hear the Prius does your laundry for you too, so should be a no brainer.

But wait, you don’t want a car that does your laundry for you. You have a super-fancy-schmancy washing machine for that. Pity it won’t drive you to work in the carpool lane.

Does the Prius come with a gift coupon for Dockers? It must.

Each day when I cross that frikking bridge I thank the good lord for my prius. I easily save 10 hours a week by not sitting in traffic. Those stickers work across any car pool lane in the entire bay area too. So out of town trips, etc, you can cruise! Those stickers are golden!!
