happy 1 month birthday!

dear snapper,

happy 1 month birthday today. which is totally unlike your four week-day two days ago. i’m not really sure which we should be celebrating, because at some point they switch from counting weeks to counting months to counting years. at some point you get old like me and start counting decades and then actually not even talking about it so people think you’re much younger than you are, maybe even too young to have kids. yet here you are blowing my cover.

so far you’ve gotten bigger and stronger. you’ve slept for good long streches during the night at times, and other times you’ve fussed and fussed. i’ve changed about one billion of your diapers, and still you managed to projectile poop on me at least three times. my pinkies are raw and wrinkly from soothing you, but on the plus side, i’m getting more ambidextrous and can now reasonably (although not socially acceptably) eat with one hand from either side, as well as one handed touch-typing (mental note: look into chording keyboards).

for your birthday, we got you a bath. i don’t know if you really liked it. good thing xz, danger, and mamaluna got you this awesome hoodie instead.

you have, however, gotten even more incredibly cute. please don’t explode from cuteness. or do. whatever. i’ll deal with it.
