how many times do i need to repeat this? rodrigo y gabriela are AWESOME. it’s like a big fat sugary bowl of AWESOME with AWESOME sauce on top, with extra fried AWESOME on the side. they played the fillmore last night, and again kicked ass with their acoustic flameco-style thrash metal. you can listen to their cd, but honest to god, it just does not do them justice. you really need to go see them live. and then you’ll think, “oh. my. god. i never knew before what AWESOME really was. until now.”

holy crap! because of this post, i just did a quick little search only to discover that rodrigo y gabriela are playing in chicago on wednesday! for free! at the taste! you do realize that this means i’ll have to wade through bazillions of extremely large and loud drunk people and put on sunblock and take the bus. but for you, i’d do just about anything.
