snowboard cross

admittedly, i’ve been spending a lot of my time watching the winter olympics. not only does it have more of my favorite events (yes, i’ve waxed repeatedly in the past about the glory of short track speed skating), but now the snowboarders are really getting the glory and the coverage on the networks (possibly because all of our skiers are proving to be big duds, so america needs heroes).

but best of all, my friend sarah’s brother seth just won the snowboard cross gold medal! and if you saw the run, it was exciting up and down— he didn’t get a good start, and had to chase the leader down half the course before making an amazing slingshot pass. fucking awesome!
