so after watching f9/11, and being horrified at that whole scene at the beginning where no one objecting to the florida elections was able to get a single senator to sign their peitition to have it formally accepted, i emailed my senators, barbara boxer and dianne feinstein, to ask what’s up. here’s dianne’s response:
Mr. e
San Francisco, California
Dear Mr. e:
Thank you for writing to me about Michael Moore’s film,
“Fahrenheit 9/11,” and the protest of the 2000 Presidential election
by the Congressional Black Caucus. I appreciate hearing from
you.
Please know that at no time was I approached to be asked
to sign a petition to challenge the allocation of Florida’s electoral
votes. I strongly believe that any violation of civil rights during
the 2000 Presidential election or any election, for that matter, must
be fully investigated. Please know that I have and will continue
to work hard to represent not only the best interests of California,
but the Nation while in the United States Senate.
Thank you for writing me. I hope you will continue to
keep me informed on issues of importance to you. If you have any
further questions, please feel free to contact my Washington, DC
office at (202) 224-3841.
Sincerely yours,
Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator
